Selected Work

Working in Unity since 2013. Most of that time has been spent inside existing codebases — reboots, platform ports, live-title work, and large, complex projects I joined partway through. I'm rarely the person who starts from a blank page; I'm the one brought in to understand an unfamiliar system quickly, then build into it safely — extending what's there without rewriting what already works. That same depth of understanding is what lets me diagnose as well as build, so when something's broken and no one knows why, I can find and fix that too.

Built a 3D Unity app, embedded into an existing React Native product, letting users experience the real trees their spending helped plant. Design-pattern implementation, a hexagonal grid system, and communication across both React Native and a back-end server. A launched, non-game Unity application.

A few things I've built, contributed to, or written up outside of client work.

Zombie prototype rebuilt with primitive cubes
And then I deleted all the art — a Unity teardown

A write-up of a damage system that silently did nothing for four months. A parameter type change on an interface, a default implementation with an empty body, and no error, warning or log anywhere in between. Includes the check that didn't pay off, and the two structural changes that moved the failure from silent to loud.
